"It don't move!": woman ends up at emergency room after spraying glue on her hair
St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana - A woman who went viral on TikTok for putting maximum strength adhesive spray into her hair as a substitute for hairspray might be suing.
Tessica Brown first posted a TikTok on her page about a little mishap – she used Gorilla Glue adhesive spray instead of B2B hairspray and it all seemed just a good bit of fun.
But things have taken a turn for the worst. In a series of increasingly desperate videos, Tessica described her ordeal. A month and many, many showers after first using the spray, she still can't get it out of her rock-hard do.
Now infamously known as Gorilla Glue Girl, Tessica is heading to Los Angeles, California to undergo scalp surgery to get the glue removed from her head.
TMZ reported that Tessica has hired an attorney. She believes she has a case against Gorilla Glue, since the label didn't warn about not using the product in hair.
The can strictly warns about not using on skin, eyes, or clothing – something Tessica reportedly believes is misleading.
It's been a month since Brown used one of the strongest adhesive products on the market in place of her go-to hairspray that had run out.
An unsuccessful trip to the ER
Unfortunately for Tessica, time has not fared well in her efforts to get the glue out of her hair.
In a last ditch effort to get the adhesive stripped from her hair, Brown headed to St. Bernard Parish Hospital, where nurses and staff attempted to pour acetone on her head to loosen up the adhesive.
This caused the adhesive to get gooey before hardening up again, all while burning Brown's scalp.
Brown's stiff situation has become so widespread that the GoFundMe page she created with a $500 goal for medical bills has now surpassed $15,900.
Given that she's now needs surgery to fix this hairy problem, she's going to need it.
