Dragon Girl's mental health is an issue in court
Brisbane, Australia - The Instagram and OnlyFans model Amber Luke, a.k.a. Dragon Girl, must answer to a court in Brisbane, Australia, for illegal drug trafficking charges.
The 25-year-old recently revealed that when she was 18, she worked as a topless waiter for a motorcycle gang, according to the Daily Mail.
The young woman, who is known for having 98% of her body covered in tattoos, doesn't seem to have completely closed the book on that chapter of her past.
Although Amber Luke claims to have quit her job with the bikers, she later apparently got involved in drug dealing.
The influencer was set to appear at a Brisbane District Court on Wednesday, but the fetish model didn't show up in person. Instead, she sent her lawyers while she went to a tattoo shop.
In December 2020, Luke pled guilty to seven drug charges. She is awaiting sentences for trafficking, supplying, and possessing large quantities of marijuana. The court has been adjourned until May 3, 2021.
Amber Luke used to hate herself
Luke admitted to being "depressed" and "suicidal" at the age of 18, saying, "I was numb. I hated myself majority of the time – that hatred ran deep."
Her defense lawyer said that the existing report on his client's mental health did not "properly" portray Amber Luke's situation.
She has had to deal with deep psychological issues and has been hospitalized for schizophrenia multiple times.
According to Luke, she dealt with her difficult past through her extreme body modifications, including tongue splitting, eyeball tattoos, and multiple piercings. In June, she wrote, "Now, I've totally transformed myself into someone I'm proud of being. I'm a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants and who she is."
The judge agreed to wait for a new report on Luke's mental health before issuing a sentence, saying it would be helpful for a psychiatrist after her sentencing.
