Real Housewives announces new locale that will "blow the lid off the entire franchise"
New York, New York – Andy Cohen, the godfather of the Real Housewives, has relayed the ground-breaking next city in the Bravo franchise.
"Get your passports!" Cohen said on Monday morning as he teased the news.
The socialite guru appeared on NBC's TODAY to promote his new book and to announce the upcoming 11th city for the Bravo TV show, which he said is "going to blow the lid off the entire franchise."
Next up? The Real Housewives of Dubai.
"We're going to the billionaires' playground. The city of gold. The desert oasis," he said. "This is maj. It's huge."
The reality show will debut next year. While filming has not begun, Cohen alluded that the Dubai cast, which he called "a great group of friends," has already been chosen.
Fans have speculated that the newest crop of Housewives may consist of cast members from Bravo's previous show, Ladies of London. It ran from 2014 through 2017 and followed the lives of wealthy London society women, some of whom vacationed and had homes in Dubai.
"Pack your bags," Bravo's official account tweeted, while including a promo clip for the new series.
"This is no mirage," the teaser said. "It's the land of opportunity. It's the new American dream."
While there have been other Housewives shows worldwide – including The Real Housewives of Melbourne which was even aired Bravo – this will be the first international vesion officially produced by the network.

Andy also promoted his new book, Glitter Every Day: 365 Quotes From Women I Love, which will be released on Tuesday.
