Marvel's Secret Invasion brings back two major stars from the MCU!
Burbank, California - Marvel's upcoming series, Secret Invasion, will star Avengers alums Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders.
Nick Fury and Maria Hill will be front and center in the upcoming Marvel miniseries.
Jackson and Smulders will reprise their respective roles in the 2022 series as they face off against the Skrulls – a race of extraterrestrial shapeshifters hailing from the planet Skrullos.
The alien race has been appeared in several films and shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain Marvel and Loki.
In the upcoming series, the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will fight against a specific sect of the alien changelings led by Ben Mendelsohn's character, Talos.
Per the Disney+ site, the official synopsis for the series' reads: "Secret Invasion is a newly announced series heading to Disney+ that stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos – characters who first met in Captain Marvel. The crossover comic event series showcases a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years."
On Thursday, Cobie posted a snap of Deadline's article confirming she was officially reprising her role and joining the series.

Marvel's Secret Invasion premieres on Disney+ in 2022.
