The long-awaited TV adaptation of the hit video game franchise will be streamed on Paramount + March 24. Even before the show makes its debut, the studio has confirmed that there will be a second season.

Paramount, via Twitter, also released new character posters for Halsey, Soren, and Kwan on Monday morning.

If that still wasn't enough to get fans hyped, it has also been revealed that we'll finally get to see the face behind the helmet.

In an interview with IGN, the show's executive producer Kiki Wolfkill broke the news that Master Chief will be unmasked: "You will see his face. For some people, it’s been a moment 20 years in the making, and for other people it is something that feels very hard to imagine."

In the 20 years the Halo series has enchanted gamers, the one constant has been that Master Chief never removes his helmet. There hasn't been an explanation as to why, but fans over the years have simply come to accept it. So even though the decision to change that is quite a big deal, the show runners feel it's necessary.

"I think we set out to tell a character story and a personal story," Wolfkill explained. "And once we really got into what that story was, it became clear that you really needed to see the person in the armour and under the helmet."

With so many big things in store and an all-star cast, this will definitely be a show worth keeping an eye on.
