Fans speculated on which aspects of the book will appear in the TV show. Insiders have already confirmed that the Targaryen Civil War will feature prominently.

Casting for the new prequel is already underway, but fans will have to wait to hear who will star in the series.

People magazine reported that Martin will be involved in the writing and production of the show, acting as co-creator alongside Ryan Condal.

House of the Dragon is set to air in 2022.
