Bachelor in Paradise: things turn toxic as castmates dip out in dramatic style
Sayulita, Mexico - The mood shifted on episode 14 of Bachelor in Paradise after three contestants dipped out from the toxic energy in record time.
After former Bachelorettes Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey offered up stark warnings about a few men from their season for the ladies left on the beach, things got tense as the couples started to realize that with potential engagements around the corner, any little hiccup can change everything.
While the most dramatic couple in Paradise in Genevieve Parisi and Aaron Clancy had a riveting argument about the difference between an "itch" and actual "pain," Kate Gallivan was questioning her relationship with Logan Seagull for the thousandth time. And per usual, she let him know about it.
But things heated up in the most toxic of ways after Becca Kufrin and her fiancé Thomas Jacobs, who met on Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise and later proposed to each other after the cameras cut, showed up to throw a "y'all might have fiancés in a few days" party.
For the first time this season, it wasn't Aaron and Genevieve causing the drama, but rather new-to-Paradise Ency Abedin, a heartbroken Andrew Spencer, and Jessenia Cruz.
Someone still has eyes for their former Paradise flame
For whatever reason, Jessenia felt Andrew owed her a further explanation in addition to the one he gave her when he dipped to go on a date with Ency on Monday's episode.
Of course, this urge came over her at one of the strangest "going away" parties in BIP history, and that did not sit well with a highly unstable Ency, who went from throwing out an untimely ultimatum to begging Andrew to stay.
Listen: we get it, we love Andrew, too. But the man was honest with both women, and even told them that his "heart is somewhere else," and that somewhere else happens to be with Teddi Wright – his former Paradise flame who left shortly after Season 8 kicked off.
And just like that: the beaches of Paradise bid adieu to three people in a matter of minutes, leaving the remaining couples (and Mara) completely stunned.
Who will make it to the final rose ceremony and a potential engagement, and who will hit the ground running before either take place? Find out when Bachelor in Paradise returns on November 21 at 8 PM ET on ABC.
