Bachelor in Paradise: One man disrespects a fan favorite as the women get booted from the beach
Sayulita, Mexico - Episode six of Bachelor in Paradise's eighth season saw a medical emergency, utter disrespect shown to a recently departed contestant, and the Love Island-inspired plot twist some viewers have been dreading.
Bachelor Nation finally got to witness the ladies' rose ceremony after what feels like ages since the first one took place, and chaos unfolded before, during, and after.
Casey Woods passed out after watching Jill Chin, Genevieve Parisi, and Brittany Galvin lay into Pizza Pete for spreading a lot of noise about Brittany solely because he showed his narcissistic side on their one-on-one date and she was wise enough to reject him and go with Andrew Spencer instead.
Oddly enough, Casey literally passing out and leaving Paradise in an ambulance wasn't the wildest thing that happened on Monday's episode of BIP if you're asking us.
Rather, it was the utter disrespect Michael Allio once again showed for Sierra Jackson, who he notably friend-zoned last week after she sweetly named a constellation after his son and late wife for coming on too strong, which led the fan favorite to pack her bags and head home.
With his former flame long gone from Paradise, Michael – who we firmly believe should've been the one to leave instead of Sierra – was surely going home at the rose ceremony. However, Danielle Maltby showed up during the cocktail party, leading Michael to outwardly express how into her that he was within minutes of her arrival.
And the plot only thickens from there.
Bachelor in Paradise turns into Casa Amor
Of course, her rose ended up going to Michael moments later. The next day, they were whisked away on a catamaran where they bonded over their shared experience of losing their significant others.
We aren't saying these two aren't perfect for each other, because they so clearly are, we just can't help but wish he was a little more forthcoming with Sierra about wanting to hang around in Paradise as a single man to await Danielle's inevitable arrival.
Also, we'd like to ask one more time: can the Bachelor franchise please consider using trigger warnings when needed?
The major plot twist came when the girls were told to pack their bags and leave Paradise for a week after five other women showed up to date their men – Love Island style. As many people have pointed out in the Twitter-sphere, we're not sold on BIP ripping off another show, especially when the contestants likely weren't informed about the change up when they agreed to be on BIP's eighth season.
Bachelor Nation generally agrees that Paradise is the saving grace of the franchise, and why producers would actively ruin the one good thing they have going to destroy people's mental health in such an obvious way for the sake of manufactured drama is beyond us.
Just how terribly will this Casa Amor-like move go? Find out when Bachelor in Paradise returns on Tuesday at 8 PM ET on ABC.
