The new toys in town! The Queer Eye guys become mini-sized
Copenhagen, Denmark - The Queer Eye guys are getting miniaturized! This week, Lego Land announced its new collaboration with the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series.
The iconic Danish toy company has created mini-figure versions of Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski, and the show’s dog, Bruley.
Created in partnership with Queer Eye creators Scout Productions through the show’s licensing agency IMG, the set features a replica of the Fav Five’s original Atlanta loft set design from its first two seasons.
The set will go on sale October 1 priced at $100 on Lego.com, Lego stores, and select retail partners.
"Queer Eye has had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives which is why we are excited for this collaboration," the company’s Vice President of design Matthew Ashton said in the announcement.
"It reminds us that we need to take time to celebrate kindness and help build each other up," he continued. "While the Fab Five rebuild people’s lives, we are on a mission to inspire people to get creative and help rebuild a more positive world."
Brown, former Real World cast member and the show’s culture expert, shared his excitement on social media.
"Hey Mom, I’m a LEGO! Go little LEGO Karamo, go!" he posted.
Earlier this year, Lego made history by kicking off Pride Month with a rainbow set, called Everyone Is Awesome, which celebrates the diversity of its fans.
It was the first time in the company’s 72-year history that it released an official LGBTQ+ Pride set.
