"The most trolled person in the world": Duchess Meghan talks about online abuse
Los Angeles, California - As part of their appearance on the Teenager Therapy podcast, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle opened up about their own struggles with constant online abuse.
Saturday was the World Mental Health Day and the two rebel royals addressed the difficulties of dealing with their fame.
"I’m told that in 2019 I was the most trolled person in the entire world – male or female,” Meghan (39) said at one point.
Even as the Duchess did her best to stay out of the spotlight during her pregnancy, she thought the unceasing and mostly negative attention was "almost unsurvivable."
The former Suits actor has a hostile relationship with the British media and some observers have pointed out a racist undercurrent to the coverage she gets.
In the spring of 2019, the couple stepped away from their royal obligations and now live with their one-year-old son Archie in Santa Barbara, California.
In the interview, Harry and Meghan emphasized the need to open up and ask for help when struggling with mental health issues, as well as the benefits of meditation and journaling.
