It has been three years since the royal couple said I do, and to commemorate the occasion, the couple made a big announcement through their Archewell Foundation website on Wednesday.

Archewell and World Central Kitchen, which was founded by celebrity chef José Andrés, will team up to open a community relief center in Mumbai, India.

Mumbai is India's largest city and the population has been brutally impacted by the latest waves of Covid-19.

"During future crises, these centers can be quickly activated as emergency response kitchens – or vaccination sites – and through calmer times they can serve as food distribution hubs, schools, clinics, or community gathering spaces for families," the Archewell Foundation press release said.

The statement also added that the two organizations have chosen Mumbai in part because it is also the location of Myna Mahila, "an Indian organization focused on women’s health and employment opportunities that The Duchess of Sussex has long supported".

The Sussexes have committed to building four community relief centers across the globe, this being the third. One has just been completed in the Commonwealth of Dominica, and another in Puerto Rico is under development.
