"Enough is enough": Is the queen planning legal action against Harry and Meghan?
London, UK - It seems that Queen Elizabeth II has had enough!
After what the Queen has seen as criticism and "repeated attacks" from Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (40), she has reportedly contacted her lawyers.
The monarch is said to have grown tired of the constant public hostility towards the crown and no longer wants to accept it quietly.
A source revealed to The Sun that Meghan and Harry have crossed the line of what is acceptable and now face serious consequences.
"They are getting lawyered up. Harry and Meghan will be made aware and know repeated attacks will not be tolerated," the source said of Buckingham Palace.
In recent months, the British royal family has taken a beating from the two ex-royals.
For starters, in their bombshell interview with host Oprah Winfrey (67), the Sussexes did not leave a good taste in the mouths of royal palace members – accusing them of racism, among other things.
In an AppleTV+ documentary, The Me You Can't See, the son of Prince Charles (72) also dove into the topic of mental health, causing fingers to be pointed at the royal famiy.
Prince Harry plans to publish his biography in 2022
In 2022, the UK will host the queen's platinum jubilee celebration, to which it is said Queen Elizabeth has extended a special invitation to Meghan and Harry.
Yet, Harry has announced that later next year, he plans to publish a memoir about his life. It has already been predicted that Harry and Meghan are hoping to boost sales of the autobiography by making some huge revelations, whether in the book or leading up to its release.
The 95-year-old ruler is apparently in fear of another public scandal and worried it will thwart her relationship with her grandson.
She also wants to be prepared for the fallout this time.
Advisers to the monarch are said to currently be in talks with libel experts to discuss how the palace can defend itself against any new attacks from the couple or press.
"The feeling, coming right from the top, is that enough is enough. There is a limit to how much will be accepted and the Queen and Royal Family can only be pushed so far," the source said.
A legal warning to Penguin Random House, Harry's book publisher, is also said to be in the pipeline.
