Usher, Denzel Curry cap off Black Music Month with iconic Tiny Desk Concerts
Washington DC - Who better to round out Black Music Month with a Tiny Desk performance than Usher?
The famed R&B singer's Tiny Desk showcase proved one thing: the man's still got it.
On Thursday, NPR released its final Tiny Desk Concert of Black Music Month with Usher and his nine-member band commanding everyone's attention.
With his top-notch style and fresh frames on full display, Usher crooned his way into our hearts, showing that his voice has only gotten smoother with age.
The 43-year-old has quite the discography full of bangers, but he narrowed them down to a select six songs, including You Make We Wanna..., Superstar, U Don't Have to Call, Nice & Slow, Confessions Part ll, and My Way.
Per NPR, Usher's Tiny Desk Concert was one by many artists – including Denzel Curry – who "represent the past, present, and future of Black music."
"This month of carefully curated shows is a celebration of Black artists expressing themselves in ways we've never seen before, and of the Tiny Desk's unique way of showcasing that talent."
One day before Usher's show-stopping appearance hit YouTube, Curry (27) offered up a Tiny Desk performance worthy of praise.
Like Usher, Curry brought a nine-person band along for the ride, with a horns section that showed up to show out and elite lyricism that hits listeners where it counts.
