Travis Scott's US festival return on pause as Day N Vegas gets scrapped
Las Vegas, Nevada - Travis Scott's return to the US festival scene just got delayed once again with the cancelation of Day N Vegas music fest.
The festival was slated to be Scott's first headlining performance since the Astroworld tragedy. That is, until festival organizers called it off on Friday afternoon.
"We're sorry to announce that a combination of logistics, timing, and production issues have forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022," the fest wrote on Twitter. "The refund process will begin immediately, and funds will appear back to your account within the next 2-4 weeks."
The music fest was set to take place September 2 through September 4 in Las Vegas, with top-tier talent like J. Cole, SZA, Playboi Carti, H.E.R., 21 Savage, Summer Walker, Baby Keem, and more scheduled to perform.
As many on social media have pointed out, Scott is now 0-3 with Day N Vegas appearances. The rapper had been added to the festival's lineup the last three years.
But the 31-year-old rapper was removed from the 2021 lineup as the fest took place one week after the Astroworld tragedy that left 10 people dead. He was replaced by Post Malone.
Scott scored a headlining set during the festival's inaugural year in 2019, but backed out days before it kicked off.
Though Day N Vegas was a bust, Scott still has a newly announced show in London on July 8 and numerous South American dates in the fall.
