Welcome to the first week of August, where the temps continue to rise, and the music drops are hotter than ever.

This week, artists like Soohyun, Calvin Harris, Lauv, DaBaby, and more are dropping new albums, while artists such as The 1975, Olivia O'Brien, and The Killers are slated to release new songs for your musical enjoyment.

With drops heading your way in a variety of genres, there's bound to be something that suits your taste.

Here are the music releases on our radar for the week of August 1.

Albums of the week: Soohyun, YoungBoy NBA, Calvin Harris, Lauv, and DaBaby

  • Soohyun - COUNT ON ME

Soohyun, the lead singer of K-pop group U-KISS, is dropped his first solo EP in 14 years on Monday titled Count On Me. Speaking of the EP's title, Soohyun told The Korea Herald, "I can say this with confidence that I will always be U-KISS' Soohyun, so count on me."

On Friday, YoungBoy NBA is expected to drop his fourth studio album, The Last Slimeto. The record will serve as the Louisiana native's follow-up to his joint mixtape with DaBaby titled BETTER THAN YOU.

  • Calvin Harris - Funk Wave Bounces Vol. 2

Calvin Harris' highly anticipated sixth studio album, Funk Wave Bounces Vol. 2, will be released on Friday via Columbia Records. The album is set to include previously released songs such as Potion featuring Dua Lipa and Young Thug as well as Stay With Me featuring Halsey, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell Williams.

  • Lauv - All 4 Nothing

Lauv is poised to drop his sophomore album, All 4 Nothing, on Friday. The record serves as the follow-up to his debut album, How I'm Feeling, which was released in March 2020. The album will feature the previously released tracks like Hey Ari and Kids Are Born Stars, which dropped on June 28.

  • DaBaby - Baby On Baby 2

Also, due on Friday is Baby On Bay 2, DaBaby's follow-up to his 2019 album Baby On Baby. The record will feature the track Showing Off Her Body, which the rapper dropped a music video for on June 24.

It will also include tracks like BONNET and WIG.

Singles of the week: The 1975, Surfaces, Eminem, The Killers, and Olivia O'Brien

In addition to full-fledge albums and EPs, there are several notable singles coming your way this week, too.

On Wednesday, The 1975 will unveil their new single Happiness. On Friday, Eminem will put out an unreleased track from 2009 featuring 50 Cent titled Is This Love ('09). The song will appear on the 8 Mile star's greatest hits album, Curtain Call 2, which will also be released Friday.

The Killers are expected to drop a new track titled Boy on Friday, and Olivia O'Brien is also expected to release her new song B**ch Back featuring Fletcher on Friday, as well.
