Cardi B and GloRilla's Tomorrow 2 sets the internet on fire
New York, New York – Rapper GloRill released a new version of her banger Tomorrow on Friday at midnight. The track is making waves online, and features none other than Cardi B.
Everything related to this hot collab is going viral: its teaser clips, its tweets, and its music video itself.
Tomorrow 2 is a remix of GloRilla's original Tomorrow, which she first released in July.
Thursday night, both rappers posted a trailer and clips from the new Diesel Films video to their socials, including on TikTok and Instagram. And since word got out about the new music, it has skyrocketed.
It also roped in Netflix's pop culture sensation Squid Games, as the teaser for the track kicks off with a haunting sample of the hit show's theme song. The choice underscores the intensity of GloRilla's hard hitting, deep-voiced verses.
The full music video racked up the views as soon as it hit the web. Only hours after it was posted, it surpassed 500,000 clicks.
GloRilla's Tomorrow 2 featuring Cardi B
The Cardi B and GloRilla collab is trending online
This is Cardi B's first release since she was sentenced to 15 days of community service after pleading guilty in an assault case.
The Hot Sh*t rapper first connected with the 22-year-old after praising her hit single F.N.F. online. On Wednesday, she shared on Twitter that she was now working with the rising rap star.
As most social media users agree, Tomorrow 2 is fire. Many have celebrated Cardi for "showing up-and-coming rappers so much love."
In the video's YouTube comments, others said Cardi "ate the verse up" and that she "slayed." Both artists' social media posts have been flooded with emojis – with the flame icon everywhere.
Even Cardi B herself has gushed over Glo's verse about the sun not shining, a line that Cardi has been posting and singing on her socials for the last few weeks: "Every day the sun won't shine but that's why I love tomorrow."
Many thought it simply had to do with her court case. Now it's proven to have a greater reference to the duo's release.
