Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Drake lead the American Music Awards nominations
Los Angeles, California - The nominations for the fan-voted 2022 American Music Awards are in, and these are the most notable nominees.
The largest fan-voted award show rolled out its list of nominees on Thursday, and per usual, we're impressed.
Leading this year's nominations is Bad Bunny who racked up eight including one for the night's top honor, Artist of the Year (AOTY).
Following close behind are the AMA's top-nominated female artists Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, along with Drake, who all have six nominations with one being Artist of the Year. Adele, Harry Styles, and The Weeknd all received four respective nods, with one also being AOTY.
Oddly enough, Swift secured nominations for her re-recorded works, with Red (Taylor's Version) landing one nomination for Favorite Pop Album and one for Favorite Country Album.
40 music artists landed their first-ever AMA nominations this year, including Jack Harlow who secured 4 nods, Latto who scored three, Blackpink who landed one, and Swedish House Mafia who also racked up one nom.
This year's award show features four new categories: Favorite K-Pop Artist, Favorite Afrobeats Artist, Favorite Rock Song, and Favorite Rock Album.
The 2022 AMAs are set to take place on November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 8 PM ET on ABC.
