2022 MTV VMAs: Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Kendrick Lamar score multiple noms!

Newark, New Jersey - MTV has announced their list of nominees for the 2022 Video Music Awards, with Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X at the forefront!

Leading the way alongside Lamar and Lil Nas is Jack Harlow, with all three rappers each earning seven nods.

Harlow and Lil Nas X racked up no fewer than six accolades for their brilliant collaboration, Industry Baby, a major win for the Montero artist who was shockingly snubbed at the BET Awards.

Their hit is up for Video of the Year, as well as a slew of other technical awards. Both stars are also up for Artist of the Year, going up against Bad Bunny, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, and Lizzo.

As for Kendrick Lamar, who recently made his return to music with his fifth studio album, he got his first VMA nom since 2018, going up for the title of Best Hip-Hop, among others.

Close behind are Doja Cat and Harry Styles, who both scored six noms and dominate the Best Pop category.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd each have five nominations.

VMA voting is open!

The annual MTV VMAs will take place on August 28 in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center. For the third year in a row, the ceremony will simulcast on The CW network.

Fans don't have to wait to sound off on their favorite artist, as voting is now open on the VMA website.
