This up-and-coming star is Disney's new Snow White!
Los Angeles, California - Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? It's the young Rachel Zegler!
She may only be 20, but the up-and-coming actor is going to bring new life to Walt Disney's very first princess, Snow White. More than 80 years after the character first hit theaters, Disney has found the perfect person to bring her to life in the upcoming live-action film.
The news was broken by Deadline, who quoted director Marc Webb as saying: "Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts. Her strength, intelligence and optimism will become an integral part of rediscovering the joy in this classic Disney fairytale."
And not only do her cheerful nature and vocal talents seem a perfect fit for her future role, but Zegler seems to be made for Snow White on the outside as well, with her jet-black hair.
"Hello to a dream come true," Zegler excitedly wrote on her Instagram account, happily announcing her latest success.
A star at both acting at singing
So who is the young Rachel Zegler anyway?
She's a real Hollywood newcomer who made her film debut as Maria in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, which will be released in December this year.
Zegler will also soon be stepping in front of the camera for the sequel to the superhero flick, Shazam.
But she hasn't just become a star on the silver screen. Her amazing voice has been turning heads on YouTube for a while now, and her covers of modern hits take a decidedly magical feeling.
All in all, Zegler seems like the perfect choice for Disney's remake of its first ever animated film.
