Hush-hush! Double dose of A Quiet Place is in the works

Hollywood, California - Don't make a sound! Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the A Quiet Place franchise will continue, times two.

On Tuesday, Paramount Pictures confirmed that both a third installment for A Quiet Place and a spinoff film are in the works, after the success of the first two A Quiet Place films (pictured).

On Tuesday, the studio confirmed that a third installment of the John Krasinski helmed post-apocalyptic horror movie series has been green-lit.

However, fans will have to wait some time before its debut. The impending third chapter, which will be a direct followup to the 2021 sequel, is set to hit theaters in 2025.

A Quiet Place II was the successful follow-up to the original 2018 horror film that followed a family of survivors hiding from blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing.

As of now, it's unclear if its main stars – Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe – will reprise their roles in the next film. Its plot is also being kept under wraps.

For those who are bummed that the third film won't arrive for some time – not to fret. It was also announced that the wildly-successful franchise will get a separate spinoff flick earlier, which is set to premiere in September 2023.

Deadline reported that the spinoff will likely be led and written by Michael Sarnoski, who directed Nicolas Cage in the thriller Pig. It is not expected to pick up where Part II of A Quiet Place left off, but will take place in the same universe.

Fans are excited for a double dose of more monsters – and quietness – to come.
