No Man's Land addresses controversial issue undocumented immigration in the US
Texas – Vigilante justice, violence, and racism: the drama No Man's Land promises a gripping mix of Western and thriller elements, while also focusing on one of the most hotly debated political issues in the US – undocumented immigration.
The film centers on the family of Bill Greer (Frank Grillo), who works as a Texas rancher.
He lives right by the Rio Grande, the river that forms the border with Mexico, and sees immigrants entering the US on a daily basis.
Since he feels the American authorities aren't cracking down hard enough, Greer decides to intervene himself, patrolling near his property with his son Jackson (Jake Allyn) and a gun in hand.
Then the fateful day comes: when a larger group of immigrants arrives, Jackson accidentally fires a shot.
When the police arrive, Bill tries to take the blame, but his son flees the scene.
Now an "illegal" himself, he must go into hiding from the Mexican federal police, who want to extradite him to the US.
On his journey, he gradually revises the stereotypes and prejudices he has held since childhood.

No Man's Land has already premiered in cinemas and online
Behind No Man's Land is director Conor Allyn, who most recently shot the Netflix biopic Walk. Ride. Rodeo., proving he can capture a Western flair quite convincingly.
The first images from the trailer also promise an atmospheric landscape setting paired with wild gunfire scenes.
Conor was assisted by his younger brother Jake, who plays Jackson in the film.
Jake doesn't have a lot of previous acting experience. So far, he has played smaller series roles in Mayan's M.C. and Navy CIS.
Frank Grillo is much better known. He made a name for himself as supervillain Brock Rumlow in the Marvel blockbusters Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
George Lopez also makes an appearance, departing from his usual comedic role to portray a Texas Ranger.
No Man's Land has just been released in select cinemas and online.
