Netflix will bring Keanu Reeves' epic BRZRKR comic series to the screen!
Los Angeles, California -Netflix has announced that Keanu Reeves will star in a live-action film and anime series adaptation of the hit comic BRZRKR, which he co-created.
The streaming giant has acquired the film rights for BRZRKR – pronounced "berserker" – and plans to also produce an anime spinoff.
The Canadian actor teamed up with Matt Kindt, a New York Times best-selling author who has written for Marvel and DC before, to develop his original saga about the immortal warrior B's 80,000 year fight through the ages.
The demigod main character, who will be played by Reeves (56) himself, returns to Earth to work with the US government.
The first issue of the 12-issue comic book series was released in early March and has already sold over 615,000 copies.
The release date for the much-anticipated project is still unknown, but fans are already gearing up for an epic series.
