Black Adam: Dwayne Johnson brings the thunder in official trailer
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has made his official debut as the DC anti-hero Black Adam in a trailer that has the whole internet talking.
The highly-anticipated official trailer for the upcoming DC Extended Universe superhero flick dropped on Wednesday.
Johnson stars as the ultra-powerful Black Adam, a formerly enslaved Egyptian man who is reborn with the magical powers of the gods.
The action-packed trailer not only teases the character's strength and abilities, but also introduces the DC group of superheroes the Justice Society of America (JSA).
Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan portray Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Cyclone, and Doctor Fate, respectively. They are members of the band of do-gooders that were shown facing off against Black Adam in the trailer.
"My vision has shown me the future. You have two choices: You can be the destroyer of this world, or you can be its savior," Brosnan's Dr. Fate says in the gripping trailer.
Since Black Adam will eventually become the arch-nemesis of Shazaam, we think it's safe to say that things will go haywire in this upcoming action movie.
The former pro-wrestler also shared the exciting, yet nearly-three-minute teaser on his Instagram.
"This passion project has become my DNA and the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change. The world needed a hero. It got BLACK ADAM," the Fast and Furious alum captioned.
Black Adam smashes into theaters everywhere on October 21.
