Macauly Culkin gives a whole new meaning to the term face mask

Los Angeles, California - Macauly Culkin, best known for his role as Kevin in Home Alone, proved in an Instagram post that the coronavirus pandemic has not put a damper on his humor or style.

The actor and singer is staying safe and sticking to the rules by wearing a face mask.

Instead of a boring regular disposable model, Culkin decided to have some fun with it and poke at people's nostalgia: on his mask is an imprint of Kevin's shocked expression, made famous by the Home Alone poster. It's literally a face mask!

The 40-year-old – yes, he's actually 40 now – posted the photo on Instagram, along with a hilarious description: "Just staying Covid-safe by wearing the flayed skin of my younger self. Don't forget to wear your masks, kids."

His followers loved the gag and many of them asked where they could get their hands on a Kevin-mask too.

One user couldn't miss the chance for some word play: "You should change your name. Now you are Maskauly Culkin."

Hopefully this and other movie-inspired masks will encourage people to keep following the recommendations that help protect lives.
