Jimmy Fallon makes fun of Harry Style's latest music video in hilarious skit
New York, New York - There’s no better way to learn the choreography an artist performed in a music video than to put yourself in their shoes, quite literally.
Just days after Harry Styles released the music video to his song Treat People With Kindness, Jimmy Fallon made a parody skit as the singer, bringing viewers behind-the-scenes of a choreography planning session for the video.
As Harry Styles, Fallon made several nods to the creative direction of the heart-warming music video, which features Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the British creator and star of Fleabag. In the official music video, Styles and Bridge partake in elaborate dance scenes, both donning argyle sweaters with just the right amount of sequins.
In Fallon’s parody, the talk show host is decked out in an identical outfit as the one Styles is wearing at the start of the video – a cropped blazer jacket, white pants, and an argyle sweater. When discussing outfits, he is asked if that's what he'll be wearing for the music video.
To poke fun at the usually well-dressed Styles, Fallon responded, “This? No, this is my walking to the mailbox clothes.”
Styles seamlessly strolls through the 1960s-inspired dance segments, with Waller-Bridge joining him on stage to close out the video. Of course, Fallon’s parody wouldn’t be incomplete without a cameo from the Fleabag star – or at least one from a lookalike.
Joining Fallon was comedian Chloe Fineman, who has been making a name for herself on Saturday Night Live, doing impressions of Waller-Bridge. Fineman nailed her cameo and made a nod to the Emmy-winning show’s directive style.
Treat People With Kindness was originally released on Styles’ album Fine Line in December 2019, he didn’t drop a music video for the uplifting, and much needed, song until the beginning of 2021.
