Harry Potter star Jessie Cave welcomes third child after "extreme" birth
London, UK - Jessie Cave, best known for her role as Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movie series, has welcomed her third child after what she called a "terrifying" birth.
She first announced her third pregnancy in June on Instagram, surprising her fans with a baby bump photo. Four months later, she and comedian Alfie Brown welcomed their third child together on Wednesday, a son named Abraham "Bam" Benjamin.
The 33-year-old actor broke the happy news in an adorable Instagram post.
"Our baby boy was born in the early hours yesterday morning just 40 mins after my waters were broken," she wrote in the post, which also featured a photo of her breast-feeding and cuddling her little son.
Cave went on to say that her third birth was "slightly extreme."
"This has been a very different experience to my first two births … much more humbling, terrifying and out of my control," she added.
Mother and son are currently in the neonatal unit, where the hospital's staff, in particular the midwives, are taking good care of the two.
Cave appeared in the final two entries of the wizarding franchise and also voiced Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game. She and her boyfriend are already parents to Donnie (5) and Margot (3).
