Microsoft hasn't publicly disclosed its earnings from console sales since 2016, so there is no definitive number. But it is known that Sony last reported PS4 sales in March at $117.2 million, half of which would be around $58 million – giving a rough ballpark of how many Xboxs were likely sold.

Nintendo, on the other hand, continues to thrive, having sold 111.08 million Switch units so far in the system's lifetime, and is expected to beat out the PS4 by the end of the year.

The Xbox One may not have sold well, but Microsoft is quickly catching up to sales for the PS5 with their Series S / X.
