Halo: Infinite finally gets the playlist everyone has been waiting for!
Seattle, Washington - Slayer is to Halo games as the Halo games are to the First-Person Shooter genre, but the even though Halo: Infinite's official release was December 8, there still was no dedicated Slayer playlist. But now, developer 343 Industries has announced an answer to player's prayers.
On Tuesday, Halo: Infinite players will finally get to hop into their most-requested game mode, Slayer, which was missing when the game's free multiplayer dropped in mid-November.
343 Industries' community lead Brian Jarrard delivered the good news on the r/Halo Subreddit, which was recently locked for a weekend after players' rage about the state of the game got completely out of hand.
Slayer is the free-for-all game mode that pits you against up to seven other players in a race to get the most eliminations before time runs out or a maximum kill count is reached.
In his post, Jarrard also clued everyone in to the other upcoming changes, including the addition of fan-favorite SWAT, which is the tactical version of Slayer, and another update to the game's battle pass meant to help players level up and unlock in-game cosmetic items faster.
More updates are in the pipeline for Halo: Infinite's multiplayer, so changes and new content will probably drop regularly and help to steadily improve the game.
