Halo gets spiffy new trailer for a upcoming live-action series!
The Halo franchise is a cornerstone of console gaming, and now developer 343 Industries and Paramount dropped a hot new trailer for the upcoming live-action show, Halo: The Series.
A full trailer for the upcoming show, Halo: The Series, dropped on Sunday and it gives fans way more detail on when and where the show's story will play out when the series kicks off March 24.
343 Industries joined forces with Paramount and Steven Spielberg's Amblin to bring you a sci-fi space opera epic set in the 26th century, in the earlier days of humanity's war with the alien Covenant.
The trailer clued viewers in to who will take center stage: the supersoldiers called Spartans, including the franchise's cover boy, John-117, also known as The Master Chief.
But this isn't just humans versus aliens. The show looks to also show the conflict with a group of human rebels.
Now, there have been attempts at a live-action Halo before, including the 2012 miniseries Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, but so far, nothing has managed to even come close to doing the game's characters and storyline justice.
But the trailer for this latest attempt sure looks good and it has some serious star power behind it too. Peaky Blinders director Otto Bauhurst is taking the reins, while the Emmy-nominated Pablo Schreiber will don the famous suit and helmet as Master Chief.
Then there's Jen Taylor reprising her role as the AI system Cortana, which is a promising sign for the series staying true to its roots.
