Zoë Kravitz has so many tattoos, she's lost count!

New York, New York – Zoë Kravitz has so many tattoos, she's lost count. Although she's not a fan of each piece of ink on her body, it hasn't curbed her obsession and desire to get more.

When you start covering your body with tattoos en masse, it's easy to lose track.

Though Kravitz was rumored to have 56 tattoos, the Big Little Lies actor admitted to InStyle in a new interview this week that she has no idea how many she actually has.

But the lack of knowledge of her ink count, and her distaste for several of the ones she has, isn't deterring her from getting more.

The 32-year-old said, "I have gotten a few removed, but I plan on getting more tattoos. Once you're into it, it's hard to stop."

When it comes to body art, Kravitz sees it as "a beautiful form of adornment" – similar to makeup or jewelry.

With so much ink, the actor said the additions have become like a second skin to her, noting that she is "so used to them" that she hardly notices them anymore.

Rather than having large statement pieces or sleeves, Kravitz has opted for more subtle markings, like small arrows and snakes on her forearms, and various celestial-inspired ink on her middle finger.

There's even one tattoo she got together with her rock star father Lenny Kravitz that reads "Free at last."

According to Tattoo Guru, some of Kravitz's tattoos were done by Dr. Woo, a celebrity-favorite when it comes to the stick-and-poke method, which she seems to prefer.

As for her collection as a whole, Kravitz sees it as a distinct form of expressing herself.

"I think life is really a game of dress-up in a lot of ways. Fashion and beauty are self-expression. It should be playful and fun," Kravitz said.
