Wendy Williams shades talk show finale and dishes on new podcast
New York, New York - Wendy Williams has spoken out her talk show's finale episode – and why she found it to be cringe-worthy.
Though the outspoken star has moved on with her career, she did have a few words for her former show's not-so-grand finale.
On Monday, the 57-year-old outright dissed The Wendy Williams show's lackluster finale by telling The New York Post that there was literally nothing she liked about it.
Last month, the eponymous talk show aired its last episode with Sherri Shepherd, who hosted the daytime show in Williams' absence as the emcee.
And it wasn't just the episode itself that bothered the star. It was also the way she was sidelined in during its production.
Wendy Williams is ready for the next chapter
Williams complained that the production company, Debmar-Mercury, shockingly didn't invite her to appear on the finale.
"I sat in my apartment and I watched it. And I was like, 'Eek!' Debmar-Mercury, in my opinion, should have done it with me, not these other people on The Wendy Williams Show," she shared, adding, "except for Fat Joe. I love him, He’s my favorite."
While Williams wasn't feeling the snub, the daytime host couldn't hold back her excitement over her upcoming podcast that's currently in the works.
"If I don’t do anything else, including podcast, I would love to fall in love. I want to f***," Williams jokingly told the outlet before doubling down on her intentions to get back into the dating game.
"Excuse me, I'm gorgeous. Can I f***?" she quipped.
Judging by Williams' energy, it doesn't seem like fans will have to wait much longer to hear the iconic "How you doin'?'" phrase we've desperately missed!
