Wayne Brady promises to bring it all after 2022 AMAs announcement
Los Angeles, California - Wayne Brady has been announced as the host for the 2022 American Music Awards!
The Whose Line Is It Anyway star will be front and center on the biggest night in music, which airs in November.
On Monday, said he is "ecstatic and honored" to host the yearly ceremony, per Deadline.
"As a musician and music lover, it’s amazing to be part of a night where music fans make their voices heard!" he continued, teasing that he will be bringing it all – "the funny, the music and the moves!"
The 50-year-old also shared the exciting news on Instagram.
"This is truly a dream! I've hosted a lot of things but this is the AMAs! Big leagues baby," the Dancing with the Stars contestant wrote.
"I try to live by the words of the all time great James Brown, 'If you stay ready, you ain't got to get ready!' I'm always trying to push myself so that I'm ready for whatever the next opportunity is. I've also learned you can't chase what the "cool kids" are doing. If you're doing it right, and it's cool to you, whatever you're doing will be cool to someone."
The AMAs, which is the largest fan-voted award show, already dropped it's juicy list of 2022 nominees with Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Drake all at the forefront with the biggest and most numerous nominations.
The 2022 American Music Awards will air live on Sunday, November 20, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, starting 8 PM EDT on ABC.
