Ottawa, Canada - Believe it or not, you can now live, or park, right on Ryan Reynolds.

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is getting a sweet treat – his own street!

A street in Ottawa, Canada will be named after the star, the city's mayor Jim Watson announced this week.

The homage is in recognition of the contributions the actor made to the Ottawa region during the pandemic – reportedly donating to the Ottawa Food Bank and the Distress Center of Ottawa, among other organizations.

"It’s clear that Ottawa has a special place in Ryan's heart – and in his honor, I’ll be bringing forward a motion later today to have a street named after him," Watson tweeted on Wednesday. "Ryan Reynolds Way will be located in a new subdivision in the east end. Look forward to seeing it open soon!"

Reynolds, who starred in films including Green Lantern (2011) and Deadpool (2016), was born in Vancouver but spent part of his childhood in Ottawa.

He now lives in the US with his wife Blake Lively and their three children, and is currently taking a break from acting to focus on fatherhood and his marketing businesses.

Ryan's responded to the new badge of honor in his typical jokester fashion.

"This is an incredible honor and a deal is deal, Mr. Mayor," Reynolds responded to Watson's tweet, quipping, "I changed my daughter's name to 'Ottawa.'"

Coincidentally, Reynolds reacted quite differently to a similar initiative in 2020.

A radio station in the 45-year-old's native Vancouver had started a petition to name a street in the western Canadian metropolis after him.

The online campaign gained had thousands of signatures, but the key player was not on board. Respecting the star's wishes, the petition was eventually dropped.

"Very kind but hard pass," Ryan tweeted at the time. "If traffic sucks everyone will say, 'Ryan Reynolds is a mess' or 'Ryan Reynolds is really backed up.'"

"My brothers would enjoy this too much," he added.

Yet it seems he has now come around to the idea, posing for a new photo with his street's sign.

This time around, the actor is said to have told Ottowa's mayor he was "very excited, flattered," "honored," and "even a little choked up."

Looks like things are definitely going Ryan Reynolds' Way.
