Hollywood's Vin Diesel is currently renting a home with his family in a gated community in the Domincan Republic.

The star posted photos of himself relaxing and working in the Juanillo Beach paradise in the Domincan Republic's Punta Cana over the last few weeks.

Yet, the behavior of 53-year-old's security team has made big waves with many of the neighbors in his beachside community.

His squad is said to have made an "unprecedented and abusive display" to residents, according to a letter of complaint written by a neighbor to the star on Friday.

The bodyguards have reportedly blocked the streets with numerous SUVs, interrogated neighbors, and stopped pedestrians to make way for Vin's crew.

The detail is said to be protecting Vin and his family, especially as he films and ramps up promotion in the country for the upcoming F9. The latest movie in the Fast and Furious franchise will be released this summer.

"We are used to seeing many celebrities like yourself but who have not imposed their own personal and arbitrary rules while violating the peaceful enjoyment of us homeowners," neighbor Diego Arria wrote.

"I'm sure in Los Angeles where you live...you would not dare nor [be allowed] to take such liberties," he added in his note to the action star.

The heated situation seems to have come to a head on Easter weekend, when Vin's security team allegedly blocked streets so that he, his wife Paloma Jiménez (37), and his three children could ride their bicycles undisturbed.

The family planned to surprise workers in the community by handing out Easter baskets.

A source close to the actor said that Vin never intended to alienate or offend anyone. They also added that his security guards are all Dominican, as the actor was passionate about giving job opportunities to locals.

Yet, homeowners in the private community appeared unsympathetic in their letter to the star.

"Trusting that you are aware of the irregular and absurd practices of your guards that you will promptly act to remedy it," the neighbor said, in hopes that any future issues would be avoided.
