Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears accused of child sex abuse in disturbing lawsuit
Los Angeles, California - Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears are being accused of molesting and grooming two siblings in a shocking lawsuit.
Documents obtained by The Daily Beast revealed the two comedy stars are being sued by an unnamed young woman and her brother who accused the comedians of "intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual battery, sexual harassment and sexual abuse of a minor."
The complaint, filed on Tuesday in the California's Superior Court for Los Angeles County, alleges that Haddish and Spears coerced the siblings to take part in sexually explicit skits in separate incidents when they were children.
The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, claimed that in 2013, Haddish made her "perform inappropriate sexual acts" for a taping of a "sexually suggestive Subways commercial" that the comedian promised would the help then-teen appear on TV.
The filing also accuses Spears of molesting Jane Doe's brother, who was seven-years-old at the time.
The document maintains that Haddish witnessed the 2014 incident "and aided, abetted, and watched Spears sexually molest a child."
Haddish and Spears deny "meritless" child sex abuse allegations
On Friday, the comedians separately responded to the disturbing filing.
Regarding the lawsuit, Haddish's lawyer Andrew Brettler specifically called out the accusers' mother for making "bogus" allegations.
"Plaintiff's mother, Trizah Morris, has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years," the attorney for the Easter Sunday star shared with Fox News.
"Every attorney who has initially taken on her case, and there were several, ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down."
The attorney added, "Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action."
Spears' lawyer also addressed the accusations, insisting that the stand-up comedian "isn't going to fall for any shakedown."
