T.I. and Tiny Harris under investigation for sexual assault allegations
Atlanta, Georgia - It looks like trouble is brewing for T.I. and Tameka "Tiny" Harris. The LAPD has officially launched an investigation into the sexual assault allegations against the rapper and his wife.
Earlier this year, Sabrina Peterson, who was an associate's of the spouses, alleged she was threatened by the Atlanta rapper at a kids party.
Peterson also claimed she was sexually abused by the hip-hop star and the Xscape member.
Following the allegation, about 30 more women have publicly accused the couple and their associates of "forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation."
The artists have denied the accusations against them, but People Magazine reports that the Los Angeles Police Department has begun an investigation into the claims.
One anonymous woman filed a complaint against the spouses with the LAPD in April while another unnamed accuser filed a report this month in Las Vegas.
On Monday, the Harris' attorney told People that T.I. and Tiny have not been contacted by the LA or Las Vegas Police Department in regards to the investigation.
"Even assuming the story in the Daily Beast is close to accurate, it appears the LAPD 'accuser' has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations – or even examine them. Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an 'accuser' who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim," the attorney added.
Due to the allegations, T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., and Tiny's popular series, T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, was suspended by VH1.
In another shocking development, Shekinah Anderson, who was a longtime friend of the couple, revealed last month that she ended her friendship with Tiny, but she also claimed the couple's first accuser, Peterson, actually helped the pair "lure" women.
It remains to be seen whether the investigations will shed any new light on the T.I. & Tiny scandal.
