There are plenty of negative stereotypes attached to the celebrity memoir – cash-grabs, headline fodder, and most often ghost-written.

Though this is certainly true for some, other stars have put forth unexpectedly insightful reflections on their lives in their books.

From reflections on the lingering impact of trauma to a captivating tale of resilience, these celebs have gifted the world with some truly unforgettable and moving memoirs.
