"That's hot!" Paris Hilton to debut new cooking show on Netflix

Las Vegas, Nevada - Paris Hilton, the millionaire heiress and the scandalous former "it" girl, has kept a relatively low profile in recent years. But now, she is going where you wouldn't necessarily expect: behind the stove!

On the pots, get set, go!

Paris Hilton, the starlet and socialite who once set dishes on fire on reality TV, will soon be appearing on Netflix with – believe it or not – her own cooking show.

It's not uncommon for people to get a little wiser and more domestic as they get older, and to lean into new hobbies.

And so the 40-year-old will now be making her mark in the kitchen.

For those who remember Paris from her days starring on The Simple Life with wealthy gal-pal Nicole Richie (39), the duo provided comedic moments of misadventures and head-shaking attempts at "every day" jobs, including failed stints as fast-food restaurant employees. So it's hard to imagine her cooking up a storm without assistance, but viewers will have to tune in to see if there will be any mishaps once again.

"Next month I’m returning to television, and this time I’ll be taking over the kitchen!" she announced on Monday on her Instagram.

Cooking with Paris will debut on August 4 as a six-part series. According to the streaming service, other celebrities will also drop by and try out some new eats.

In a fun nod to her TV past, Paris promoted the upcoming show by gracing the cover of a cookbook with a whisk in one hand and a toy dog in the other, while wearing a pink-bowed evening gown and promising "simple" recipes.

As Paris' famous catchphrase goes: "That's hot!"

Whether the show will be able to further monopolize on the misplaced-heiress's antics remains to be seen.

The cliché of Paris being a fish out of water may be exhausted and years past its prime.

The great-granddaughter of hotel-chain mogul Conrad Hilton has already tried out many career paths, including numerous reality shows, and stints as a singer – who can forget Stars Are Blind? – actor, author, model, podcaster, DJ, and beauty investor.

She has also had a successful fashion label selling bags, clothing, jewelry, and perfume.

Here's hoping Paris can now wave her whisk to make her newest cooking show venture a success.
