Taylor Swift stuns at Bon Iver show for bejeweling Folklore performance
London, UK - Taylor Swift dropped by Bon Iver's show at SSE Arena Wembley to perform a song they wrote together on Folklore, but was her appearance a Midnights Easter egg that means something more?
Leave it to Swift to, ahem, bejewel an unsuspecting audience with a surprise performance during a show that's not even hers.
Five days after she released the absolute masterpiece of an album that is Midnights, the Anti-Hero singer stunned her collaborator Bon Iver's audience during his show at SSE Arena in London by joining him, along with The Nationals Aaron Dessner, on stage to perform Exile for the first time in front of a live audience.
For those who are unaware, Bon Iver's lead vocalist Justin Vernon helped Swift, along with Dessner and Jack Antonoff, craft Folklore, and he explicitly appears on the track Exile.
Oddly enough, Swift's newly released music video for Bejeweled features several references to Exile, and it's possible her surprise appearance at Bon Iver's concert is a little more calculated than not.
Swifties who would give anything to see their queen perform songs off of Folklore, its sister album Evermore, or any song in her discography that's full of bangers galore were undoubtedly living for the video footage of her surprise performance with Bon Iver and Dessner on Wednesday.
One Twitter user replied to a video share of Swift's appearance, tweeting, "I'm embarrassed by how much i just melted down. Holy sh*t," while another wrote, "I will forever be upset that I was not there."
Now, Taylor Swift's highly devoted fanbase will continue to "breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, [and] breathe out" whilst hoping the Midnight Rain singer announces a tour sooner rather than later.
