Taylor Swift fans on alert amid swirling Super Bowl halftime show rumors
Glendale, Arizona - Multiple sources have confirmed to Variety that Taylor Swift will be performing at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, sending fans into a frenzy!
Speculation swiftly began after the NFL announced that Apple Music would be replacing Pepsi as the halftime performance's sponsor. Swift has an ongoing partnership with Pepsi's rival, Coca-Cola, which previously prevented her from performing in the halftime show.
The timing of the NFL's announcement added further fuel to the frantic theories, as the new sponsorship was revealed at midnight.
Coincidentally or not, Swift's next album is titled Midnights, so you can see why there might some be speculation.
Taylor Swift's Easter egg hunt continues
Swift is widely known for her notorious Easter eggs, which serve as clues regarding her upcoming projects, and it appears the NFL's announcement may be yet another example of that.
The singer's extensive catalog, which now includes two re-recorded albums and a plethora of previously-unreleased songs, would certainly make for quite the halftime performance.
With Midnights arriving next month, the 32-year-old will have plenty of material to debut live. The Super Bowl's timing would also be fitting as a preview for a potential tour to promote her newest release.
The news has not been officially confirmed by Swift, so her dedicated fanbase will have to wait and see if the theorizing proves correct.
