Taylor Swift earns high praise from Travis Kelce's dad: "Very charming"
Kansas City, Missouri - Travis Kelce's dad, Ed, gushed over Taylor Swift in his first public comments on the stars' whirlwind romance.
The 33-year-old singer was spotted chatting with the 34-year-old athlete's father at the Chiefs-Broncos game on October 12.
Though Travis joked that the sight was "terrifying," it seems Taylor passed Ed's test with flying colors, as he had nothing but praise for her while speaking to PEOPLE on Monday.
Ed said the Grammy winner is "a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman" and recalled how she made sure to clean up the empty bottles, plates, and more left behind in the suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
"And I'm just thinking, I don't think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician," he said. "She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really, to me, said a whole lot."
The Super Bowl champ's dad added that Taylor is "very smart" and that it's something "that comes through right away."
Though Ed was not in attendance for Sunday's Chiefs-Chargers game, Taylor cheered on Travis at the stadium once again, instead teaming up with Brittany Mahomes in the suite.
Taylor Swift continues to cheer on Travis Kelce in Kansas City
Taylor's latest viral NFL appearance in Kansas City was the first since their PDA-filled dates in the Big Apple that made their romance official earlier this month.
After the Karma artist watched the game with the Mahomes family on Sunday, she reunited with Travis at a post-game celebration, where she was photographed kissing him on the cheek.
Taylor's Kansas City outings may soon be coming to an end as The Eras Tour's international leg resumes next month, but Travis is reportedly ready to return the favor and travel with her for the opening shows in Argentina!
