Sylvester Stallone issues stark update on Bruce Willis' health: "It's so sad"
Hidden Hills, California - Actor Sylvester Stallone gave a brief update about the health status of his friend and longtime colleague Bruce Willis, as his family also showed his life at home.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stallone, who has been friends with Willis for decades, was asked about the Die Hard star's condition since being diagnosed with aphasia earlier this year.
The brain disorder has affected his cognitive abilities and caused the 67-year-old to step away from acting for the foreseeable future.
"Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times," Stallone said.
"So he’s been sort of incommunicado. That kills me."
"It’s so sad," he added.
When Willis' diagnosis was announced at the end of March, Stallone shared a heartfelt post on Instagram in which he sent his good wishes.
"We go back a long way, praying for the best for you and your wonderful family," the Rocky star wrote alongside several photos of the two of them.
Despite his struggles, Willis has been recently seen on IG in new videos, to the delight of his fans.
Bruce Willis enjoys time with his family despite illness
Willis' wife Emma Heming-Willis shared a touching video compilation last month that showed the film star enjoying time at home with his family and looking active.
In the one-minute clip, Willis laughs and gives piggyback rides to his daughters, walks in the woods, and dances.
"We don’t believe in perfection over here but #oursummer2022 was pretty close to it," she captioned the clip.
"In fact, it was magic."
On Friday, the couple posed for a selfie holding copies of Willis' former wife Demi Moore's book to wish her a happy birthday.
"We love you inside and out," she wrote to her husband's ex.
It looks like the Willis clan is standing strong, and making the best of family moments.
