Drake's "groupie" diss gets a clapback from Serena Williams and hubby

Miami, Florida - Serena William's husband Alexis Ohanian clapped back after he was dissed by Drake on a track from the rapper's brand-new album, Her Loss.

The Canadian artist's highly-anticipated joint-album with 21 Savage dropped on Friday. And it definitely caused a volley with one of the world's greatest tennis players AKA his possible ex-flame.

On the track Middle of the Ocean, Drake raps: "Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don't got a problem but no, boo, it is like you comin' for sushi."

In response, Serena's husband seemed to take Drake's "groupie" dig in stride.

"The reason I stay winning is because I'm relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter," Ohanian tweeted.

Williams proudly supported her beau as she replied with several heart-smiling emojis.

This isn't the first time Drake has name-dropped the 41-year-old athlete in his music. In his 2013 song Worst Behavior, he rapped, "I'm with my whole set, tennis matches at the crib / I swear I could beat Serena when she playin' with her left."

Perhaps the swipe at Williams' hubby and apparent friction between them comes on the heels of Drake and Williams having dated. Rumors of a romance between the rapper and the tennis legend swirled back in 2015 when TMZ photographed the pair kissing while out at a restaurant together.

Williams later married Ohanian in 2017. The couple has one daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, who is now five years old.

Drake's dig was largely mocked by Twitter, as the rapper is also facing significant backlash for taking aim at Megan Thee Stallion on the album as well.

As their stans have shown, the rapper dragging two powerhouse women is not going over well.
