Selena Gomez heats up with new TV lover and SNL hosting gig
New York, New York – It's a good time to be Selena Gomez!
You know what they say: when a celebrity appears to be off the grid for far too long, they're likely working on magic of sorts.
OK, this might not be a thing anyone says, but in terms of Selena Gomez, it rings all too true.
Aside from her flawless takes on TikTok trends and posting fire makeup "lewks," the 29-year-old has been relatively quiet.
But that's all about to change, and we're all about it!
On Thursday, news broke that the Only Murders in the Building star was getting a new love interest for the show's second season, and it happens to be a former Victoria's Secret model.
That's right, it looks like the multifaceted Cara Delevingne will be joining the cast to play Selena's new boo in one way, shape, or form when it returns to Hulu on June 28.
As an added bonus, the show's co-creator John Hoffman told Life & Style the two have "amazing" on-screen chemistry, noting, "It’s a little sparky in all the right ways that makes you feel like, 'Oh, someone’s opening someone’s world.'"
But this isn't the only casting news that broke – not even close!
On Friday, it was confirmed that the Good For You singer will be making her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on May 14, with the legendary Post Malone serving as the episode's musical guest.
Like we said, it's one heck of a time to be the illustrious Selena Gomez!
