Rihanna takes swipe at her haters in Super Bowl teaser
Glendale, Arizona - RiRi stans, rise! Rihanna has just given a first sneak peek of her major comeback at the upcoming 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
The 34-year-old musician shared a teaser on social media to hype up her highly anticipated performance.
The clip begins with voices commenting on Rihanna's lengthy hiatus since her last album.
As the voices grow louder and begin to overlap, the Umbrella singer emerges from the shadows in an impressively glam ensemble featuring a neon fur coat and glitzy jewelry.
The voices cut out as Rihanna shushes the camera before the chorus of her hit Needed Me begins to play. Touchdown!
The Fenty Beauty founder was out and about earlier this week and attended the Golden Globes on Tuesday, as she was nominated for her newest song Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
During the ceremony, host Jerrod Carmichael also poked fun at the lingering commentary on Rihanna's absence from the music scene, telling the singer, "Rihanna, you take all the time you want on that album, girl. Don't let these fools on the internet pressure you into nothing!"
Thankfully, her comeback seems to be in full swing, and paired with her Super Bowl performance, there just might be hope on the horizon.
RiRi is kicking off at Super Bowl LVII on February 12 at State Farm Stadium.
