Ricky Martin wins legal battle against nephew after disturbing incest claims
San Juan, Puerto Rico - Ricky Martin has won a bombshell legal case against his nephew, who had accused the pop star of harassment and abuse after an alleged incestuous relationship.
On Thursday, Deadline confirmed that after the star testified against his 21-year-old nephew, a San Juan judge dismissed a temporary restraining order (TRO) against him.
Martin was served on July 2 after the She Bangs artist was accused of serious abuse and harassment.
The 50-year-old appeared in court via Zoom as the judge dropped the temporary protection order.
According to the outlet, the singer's attorney stated, "Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court."
"The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter."
Martin also shared his legal reps statement on his Instagram, along with the caption "Truth prevails."

After Martin was served with a TRO, reports circulated that the artist's nephew alleged the two engaged in a seven-month affair.
He further maintained that the Living the Vida Loca artist stalked and harassed him after the affair ended.
Martin vehemently denied the claims in an official statement via his lawyer who shared that the allegations were made by a person who is "is struggling with deep mental health challenges."
"The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting," Marty Singer, the pop icon's attorney, insisted at the time.
Nevertheless, per Martin's latest post, the pop singer is now looking to move forward with his life and career following the explosive matter.
