Atlanta, Georgia - Fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta series were in for a surprise when Porsha Williams announced her engagement to Simon Guobadia. The news was especially shocking since Guobadia was married to Williams' castmate, Falynn!
On Monday evening, Williams confirmed her romance with Guobadia in a lengthy Instagram post. The announcement follows a picture Willaims shared on Mother's Day, in which she stands in between the film producer and her ex-fiance, Dennis McKinley.
Guobadia first appeared on the most recent season of the RHOA with his then-wife, Falynn. At the time, the couple invited Williams and her friends to their home for a pool party.
In the caption of her post, Williams spilled that she began dating Guobadia last month and that, despite what people may think, she is not friends with his estranged wife.
"Our relationship began a month ago – yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most," the 39-year-old reality star wrote.
Following this, Williams' new boo confirmed onb his Instagram that they were engaged .

The news received predictable backlash from fans online, with several people pointing out that Williams had several interactions with Falynn when she appeared on the show.
Meanwhile, Falynn has broken her silence on the matter. "I want to thank everyone for reaching out to me and offering their love and support. At this time, I am focusing on finalizing my divorce and healing. Sending positivity to all of you," she told People.
RHOA just aired its annual reunion special, but with this latest development, there's no doubt the next season will be filled with nonstop drama!
Porsha Williams shares a daughter, Pilar, with Dennis McKinley and was married to Kordell Stewart from 2011 to 2013.
