Rebel Wilson explains how her weight loss made her "glow on the outside"
Los Angeles, California - Rebel Wilson is hardly recognizable! In just one year, the Pitch Perfect actor has lost over 60 pounds, and she couldn't be happier!
Whether it's sexy lingerie, a skin-tight jumpsuit or a belly top, Rebel Wilson simply can't get enough of showing off her body on Instagram – and rightly so!
After all the hard work that led to the amazing transformation, it really is something to be proud of.
In December 2020, the actor reached her target weight of 165 pounds – one month before the deadline she set herself!
In an interview with Shape, she now explained the reasoning behind her journey.
"I was turning 40 and thinking about freezing my eggs, and the experts told me that the healthier I am, the better the process can go."
The more she started caring for her health, the more she realized how much she had neglected it in the years prior.
"I get a little emotional when I ask myself why I didn't care about my health before this. It just wasn't a priority, and I didn't know how to do it right," she said
But how did the Hollywood star manage to be so disciplined?
Rebel Wilson lost weight by going for walks and eating healthier
As Wilson told the magazine, she kicked off her weight loss journey at an Austrian health retreat, "which flushed out every toxic substance possible in all sorts of crazy ways."
During her time there, she learned what the best way for her to lose body fat: walking! Wilson would keep herself motivated and entertained by listening to uplifting podcasts.
She also made some changes in her nutrition as she learned to manage emotional eating and started taking daily supplements while working out three times a week.
"I don't want to sound superficial, and looks aren't everything, but I think I'm getting better looking with age," she said happily.
"Now I feel that thing people talk about – if you're healthy on the inside, you glow on the outside." And it certainly shows!
