Migos rapper Takeoff fatally wounded after shooting in Houston

On Tuesday morning, the 28-year-old artist who is best known as one-third of the popular hip-hop group Migos was reportedly shot and killed.

TMZ first broke the shocking news that Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, was gunned down when an argument over a dice game broke out during a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling.

According to the outlet, Houston authorities arrived on the scene around 2:40 AM following 911 calls reporting a shooting. They found a large crowd of around 40 to 50 people inside the vicinity where a man was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound near his head.

The police pronounced him dead at the scene, while two additional victims were taken to nearby hospitals.

Fellow Migos member and Takeoff's uncle Quavo was also seen at the party when the shooting took place but wasn't injured. He was seen in photos leaning over Takeoff after her was wounded and yelled for help.

After the horrific news broke about the late rapper's passing, tributes immediately began pouring in from his friends and fans on social media.

Fellow rapper Ja Rule wrote in post on Twitter, "Rip Takeoff… this sh*t has to STOP… sending love to friends and family."

Singer Lecrae tweeted, "No hot takes. No profound thoughts. Just sad that another rapper, son, brother, and friend has been killed. God be with all those who feel the loss."

Reality star and singer Teyana Taylor posted a photo of Takeoff on her Instagram and wrote, "Please tell me this is just a bad dream pleaseeeeeeee I don’t want to believe this lil bro please."

Migos members Offset and Quavi have not yet publically addressed Takeoff's passing, and Houston police have not confirmed the shooting victim's identity.
