Olivia Wilde seemingly shades bombshell interview with salad dressing joke
Los Angeles, California - Olivia Wilde appeared to poke fun at the "special secret salad dressing," which her ex-nanny said led to her split from Jason Sudeikis amid an apparent affair with Harry Styles.
Is it her salad dressing that brings all the boys to the yard?
On Tuesday evening, the 38-year-old star seemed to continue to respond to her former employer's explosive interview which detailed a salad with "a special dressing" that Wilde apparently made for her ex, and supposedly caused a blowout between them when he found out she also made it for Styles.
Taking to her Instagram story, Wilde posted an excerpt from Nora Ephron's 1983 roman à clef Heartburn, which was based on the writer's divorce.
In the passage, the main character details a recipe for a salad dressing she makes for her husband.
"Mix 2 tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard with 2 tablespoons good red wine vinegar," the recipe began.
"Then, whisk constantly with a fork, slowly add 6 tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that's perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive."
The tasty ingredients may or may not be the "special dressing" that allegedly drove Sudeikis – and perhaps Styles – wild, but this isn't the first seemingly shady response Wilde has made recently.
Olivia Wilde "loves her life" amid Jason Sudeikis drama
On Monday, Wilde boldly declared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she "loves her life."
Her comments came on the heels of the messy drama surrounding her split from Sudeikis and the alleged fallouts, off-screen shenanigans, and bad blood surrounding her new film Don't Worry Darling.
Per Wilde, despite all the scrutiny, she's perfectly content with where she's at in life and in her career.
"Let's face it: You're not a woman in Hollywood until you've begged to be placed into a medically induced coma until your press tour is finished," the mom of two explained.
"Until then, you are just a woman residing in or around the Hollywood area."
"I love my life, I love my job," she added. "What more could I ask for?"
